Files of very large size such as videos, compressed folders, .zip archive etc are difficult to send as an attachment on your mail. Gmail has increased the maximum file limit to 20MB, Yahoo and Hotmail still have the attachment size limit as 10MB. But what if your file is let say 50MB in size ?

There are lots of solution possible for this problem. You can upload the file on Rapidshare, Megaupload and all those file sharing site and then email the link to your friends. Other solution can be making a global FTP server and then sharing the files on it and giving access to those you want to.

Send6 is much simpler and easy solution for you if you want to directly email the files upto 100MB in size. You just have to enter your email address and the recipient email address and then browse the file on your PC to upload.

Depending on your internet speed, your files will be directly send to the recipient as a link because free email service may not allow you to access large sized files in attachment. Send6 will also provide you the detailed tracking information so that you can know who all actually download your file.

What to do if the file is more than 100MB ?
One solution as discussed above could be creating your FTP server and then sharing the files on it and giving your IP information to the recipient. But this will require your technical expertise.
Another very neat solution can be sending files through IMs. Yahoo messenger allows you to send files up to 1GB in size. GTalk also has very high limit on sending files. And you just have to drag and drop files in your IM to do that. Isn’t that so simple ?
